Business Development Account Manager

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of business to business cold calling experience, and be a strong closer with a proven track record of making sales over the telephone. Industry experience is an advantage, but not required.

  • Develop a customer account base by means of cold calling
  • Proactively manage, maintain, and build your customer account base
  • Build and maintain rapport with customers
  • Ensure that follow up calls are made
  • Source new business for the company
  • Reach targets set by your manager
  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPI’s) on a monthly basis

  • Respond quickly and positively to customer needs
  • Speak to customers regularly to develop and maintain relationships
  • Exceed customer expectations

  • PC Literate – Outlook Express, Word, Excel, Internet and basic business software tools
  • Able to communicate effectively over the telephone
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior knowledge of sales techniques including cold-calling and lead generation, with the ability to capture and close the deal
  • 2 or more years of business-to-business selling experience
